The "pet" wolf
The wolf's eyes are haunting

i stayed at a very interesting guest house deep in the country owned by a man and his wife. the house was hand-built using materials on their land. the man was also a folk artist. their homestead was filled with free-range animals ranging from ducks and geese, chickens, cats, a dog...and a "pet" wolf they kept in a pen. they also had a wild lynx that had just died a few months earlier. the man only spoke romanian but the woman also spoke french. i met a younger couple while there and we took a hike together into the wilderness. the entire experience was very surreal.
